A little inspiration
Plan fewer stops and give each one more room. Hill-country roads and rail journeys are experiences in themselves, and rushing them rarely helps.
Bring a light layer, shoes with grip and flexibility for the weather. Arrange walks with a knowledgeable local guide where appropriate, and ask permission before entering private estates.
Tea landscapes are working places. Respect the people who live and work here, ask before taking portraits, and use your visit to learn as well as look.
